Our story

Il Molino Gambino was born as a family business in the 1920s in Maletto, a small medieval village in Sicily, immersed in an area with a strong agricultural vocation between the slopes of the Etna volcano and the Nebrodi mountains. Right here in the so-called Granaio d'Italia, the favorable climatic conditions and the fertile conformation of the soil have allowed the cultivation of indigenous and soft durum wheat varieties and ancient varieties. Only at the end of the sixties did the mill become the property of the Gambino family who for three generations handed down the precious milling art. Sessanta il molino è divenuto di proprietà della famiglia Gambino che da tre generazioni tramanda la preziosa arte molitoria.
